Elkin Arcilla is a passionate and innovative grower who has redefined his family's tradition at Finca Puerto Arturo, where natural mineral springs and a distinct terroir create the ideal conditions for exceptional coffee. His meticulous approach to agronomy and processing consistently yields scores between 89 and 90 points, making King Arthur a serious contender in prestigious competition circles.
This process is deliberate and unhurried. Only the ripest cherries and hand-selected before entering two controlled 90-hour fermentation stages, first as whole cherry, then depulped in muscilage, and finally dried slowly on African raised beds with the honey intact. This careful combination of aerobic and anaerobic fermentation paired with honey processing lets the Gesha variety speak for itself, sweet and floral without the overpowering funk that heavier fermentation protocols can produce.
The result is an elegant, refined cup that earns its place at the top of any café menu.
